Todmorden Moor geology trail
A new geology trail leaflet has been produced by CROWS (Community Rights of Way Service) for Todmorden Moor, which is high on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border and now marked by five wind turbines. The existing geology trail was established by the Todmorden Moor Restoration Trust and Pennine Prospects in as part of the South Pennine Watersheds Landscape project in 2013. The trail is marked by marker posts as well as several interpretation boards with information on the geology as well as the mining and quarrying heritage of the Todmorden Moor. While there is online information about the trail, there has never been a published leaflet so the CROWS initiative, assisted by WYGT members, is very welcome..
