Gorpley Clough interpretation board
As part of the Watershed Landscapes project organised by Pennine Prospects some years ago, WYGT produced information about this wonderful valley as website material and for an interpretation board in the car park at the road on Bacup Road, near Todmorden. The stream cuts deeply into the valley sides exposing bedrock in the stream bed, which has several small waterfalls, and in cliffs along the paths. .
Calderdale Council continues to maintain the footpaths and the bridges across the stream, but the board is now less legible. CROWS (Community Rights of Way), a local walking group, have made plans to reinstate the board which they hope will be replaced in due course. Some of the material from the original board can be reused and new diagrams produced where needed.
